Az I Play It....
Phil Jackson said it best - "It's still a bigman's game!" It just so happened that the bigmen from both the Lakers and the Clippers could not put the ball in the basket, though they had the opportunities! Well, Dirk Nowitzky and the Dallas Mavericks not only put the ball in the basket, but they proved another basketball axiom - "Live by the three, die by the three!" The Suns' shooters went cold, due in part to the impressive/oppressive defense by the Mavs. With Amare Stoudemire, I believe that the outcome of this series would have been reversed - but isn't ANYONE else outraged, that Amare has chosen to rehab so that he can play for Team USA in the World Games, this summer?
Why not return, fully rested and recovered, when the Suns return to action this Fall? Well, it's not my money paying him, and it just distances me further, from being a better NBA fan. Let's face it - they play 82 games so that they can eliminate only half of the teams! What a(Big Bucks) joke!
The NBA Championships grand finale - with two of the best of the NBA's bigmen, begins Thursday. Shaq, with Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat will meet Dirk, with Josh Howard and the Dallas Mavericks! This will be the first time, since 1971, that two teams get to compete in the NBA finals for the first time! The Mavs and the Heat could prove to be a Classic! Enjoy!
