Az I See It....
Since the furor over immigration policy began, applications for U.S. Citizenship have surged as much as 18 percent! Seems the problems may correct themselves, if enforcement to existing laws is consistently applied!....Just a thought - in Mexico, do they offer an SAP audio option, so that Americans can understand their television broadcasts?....And Juan Baldez, of Columbian coffee fame, is retiring, after representing the product since 1969. He says that he has been proud to promote his country as something other than a 'drug haven.' Well, de-caf was invented so that consumers(with no discernible taste buds) could continue drinking this great-smelling beverage, without suffering from the ill-effects of the addictive drug-ingredient caffeine! Make mine double cream, triple sugar(to kill the taste of the coffee), please!....The coastal city of Yorba Buena changed its name, in 1847, to San Francisco, taking the new name from its patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi - go figure!....Okay, al-Zarqawi is dead - how soon before the U.S. is accused of more collateral damage? These are an enemy that advocates 'Death to America' and have broadcast torture, hostage terrorism and beheadings! I say we should cap all of the oil wells(just for 'W,' because we get a whopping 4% of our imported oil from Iraq), give everyone 30 days to leave, dropping all weapons at the borders, and then bomb the country! Anyone stupid enough to stay behind must have been a terrorist! Allah might even approve of the callousness!....Arizona Rep. Jim Kolbe wants to eliminate the penny from U.S. currency. He would allow prices to be rounded up or down. Yeah, sure - let's try this example: Gasoline costs $2.99 9/10 per gallon. After rounding up it becomes $3.55 - Sure, Jim - some people just have no common cents!....The three Guantanimo Bay suicides were a protest? Why not organize, as the May 1st immigrant 'Civil Rights' marchers did - then there would be no need for Gitmo!....Tired of waiting? According to a recent AP-Ipsos poll, people tend to lose patience, while waiting in line, after 17 minutes. You're kidding, right? What are we waiting for, that the first 17 minutes is alright? And women will wait longer(18 minutes!) Those with higher education and income levels were less patient, but let's face it - just get the store manager to open more checkout lines - or shop elsewhere!....And a proposal to raise the Federal Minimum Wage from $5.15 to $7.25 will - and should - die! How will our children be motivated to learn the value of getting an education, if they can earn enough to even 'get by' on minimum wage? I think that we should lower the minimum to $4.00/hour, for all non-high school graduates under the age of 18, and really teach them a lesson!
