The Lake House - starring Sandra Bullock, Keanu Reeves and Christopher Plummer

     What a GREAT date movie!   Sandra Bullock is every bit as beautiful, charming and talented as ever(In real life she is married to the overly-tatooed Jesse James - Beauty and the Beeeest!))  Keanu Reeves completely compliments her, as they have worked together several times and are good friends(according to recent interviews.) 

     This love story takes place in the Chicago area, in the early years of this decade, with the two characters actually living, and having to communicate, while separated by two years in time.  This is done through what critics have referred to as a 'preposterous magic mailbox.'  Difficult to believe?  Well, what are you looking for in a film - escape from reality or the nightly news?  This film is every bit as endearing and entertaining as Sliding Doors, Back to the Future, Somewhere in Time, etc., in romanticism, fantasy and fun!

     I highly recommend this film, for all who have ever experienced the value of a love relationship.  The plot is consistent, the acting is charming, and the ending - while predictable - is fulfilling!
