Retired French soccer superstar, Zinedine Zidane, faced FIFA discipline for head-butting Marco Materazzi, of the Italian team, during the championship game of the 2006 World Cup.(Why isn't there a World Cup for women?) He was fined, 'suspended' sentenced to community service(a first in FIFA history), and could have been stripped of his Golden Ball - the MVP equivalent for the tournament! Yeah, right! Wouldn't that be like banning Pete Rose from baseball, and ruling him ineligible for the Hall of Fame, for gambling on his own team? Oh, sorry - I should have used my head!
