Arizona Cardinals!  What else need be said?  A new stadium - which looks more appropriate for Roswell, New Mexico or Area 51, and just plain out of place in the West Valley desert - and cost the taxpayers a state-of-the-art price of $150M more than it could have(Bidwill had to have a retractable roof AND a retractable field!);  new quarterback prospect, Matt Leinart, no, wait....Paris Hilton is closer to signing a contract;  new running back, Edgerrin James;  new fans, as every game is sold out, making every game able to be televised;   new money available, due to increased gate, stadium and other advertising revenues(but Leinart remains unsigned, as money is the main issue, as always, with the Cardinals);  Same Offensive linemen, and QB Kurt Warner has stated that the key to his success/health is taking less hits.

     Since the Cards relocated to Az, they have had an array of stars that other teams have envied.  Pro Bowl-caliber players that had produced for other teams before coming here and after they left!  QB's - Neil Lomax, Timm Rosenbach, Steve Buerlein, Dave Krieg, Boomer Esaiason, Tom Tupa, Dave Brown, Kent Graham, Gary Hogeboom, Jake Plummer, and now Warner;  Running backs - Ron Moore, Garrison Hearst, Johnny Johnson, Thomas Jones, Emmett Smith, Ottis Anderson, Mario Bates, and now James;  Receivers - Rob Moore, David Boston, Roy Green,  Eric Metcalf, Ricky Proehl, Frank Sanders, and now Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald.  And the results are always the same - losing or disappointing seasons - and the excuses are the same, ie., he was injured, he was past his prime, he didn't produce, we have a new system, inexperience, we need a better RB/QB/WR, etc.

     The Cardinals will not make the playoffs this year either(W-7, L-9), with or without Warner, James or Paris Leinart...er, I mean Matt Hilton.  The Offensive line is offensive only to the Arizona fanbase that is willing to support this losing team.  Injuries, an inability to perform - as usual - along with poor Offensive play-calling and an overrated Defense(again) will keep them out of contention from the onset of the season.  Scott Player will probably make the Pro Bowl as the Punter again, and the Bidwills will laugh all the way to the bank.  Send them back to Chicago, where they can again be known as the Cubs!
