Az I Play It....
Just returned from the long-awaited tour of the Cardinals stadium. Typical! Long lines, and no lower-level concessions. The self-guided tour was free - and so was the parking - but the tour only went one-way, causing a problem for some folks who could not complete the circuit. Elevators were one-way only(up!), so return was by outside exit(extremely hot), or back-tracking against the flow. Concessions were abundant on the main floor, where the 'Big Boys Toys' show was in progress, but that was for ticket buyers only. And from the conversations that I had overheard, with many others, the Cards missed an opportunity to make some bucks, and win some additional fans(but who cares, right Bill, as all of your games are 'sold-out?!')
One more thing - why aren't the Cardinals selling tickets to view the away games, at the stadium? Many devoted fans, and wannabees, would love to spend $10 per ticket to watch the games on the big-screen, and spending their money on parking and concessions - instead of staying home or watching from a smoke-filled bar & grill. While some dates may be reserved for other events, not all of them are. And stadium employees/concessionaires would make more money. Win-Win? Come on, Bidwill - make more money for everyone - at least until you capitalize on the sale of the 'naming rights!'(How about "Taxpayer Field, at Bidwill Savings and Loan Stadium?")
