Az I Use It....
Be careful, when purchasing plane tickets, hotel stays, rental cars, etc., from discount brokers, such as Priceline, Orbitz, Expedia and Travelocity. You may lose some valuable perks, costing you much more than you supposedly saved on the initial purchases, ie., membership points accumulation, airline frequent-flyer miles/points, hotel continental breakfasts, other club/travel points.
If you lose the continental breakfast, a family of four could have to spend at least $40 more, daily, in meal expenses, and not accrue points for free stays, under hotel club memberships. Reduced-priced plane tickets could cost you free tickets, and the same for rental cars.
Instead, sign-up for the free memberships offered with the travel services that you are most likely to frequent, and add to them as necessary - they are FREE! Take advantage of what they offer, including direct or on-line reservation discounts, reduced rates for AARP, AAA, Credit Union and other cross-membership discounts. You may be surprised at how much you really save - and have more than the limited selection methods offered by 'those other guys!'
