Oprah Winfrey, one of the world's wealthiest women, is to be commended, especially for her recent gift, a state-of-the-art school, for 150 Black-African girls, in Soweto, S. Africa, an investment of up to $50M, for their future.  Each child had to have exhibited good grades and behavior, in order to be considered for selection.  While many Americans are upset and confused, as to why Oprah did not make this gift to Black-American children, I believe that she explained it well, when she stated that the thirst and appreciation for knowledge was overwhelming, in this part of Africa. 
     Americans should take this as a wake-up call.  The world does not owe you a living, and while you were hoping that Oprah would gift you an automobile, she was searching for those willing to be able to afford the payments!
