If there is one film to see, in 2006, it is Little Miss Sunshine! You will laugh, cry,cheer and laugh some more, as a modern dysfunctional family embark on what is the ultimate family 'road trip,' in an attempt to enter young Olive(Abigail Breslin) in a child beauty pageant. While the cast is loaded with accomplished stars, it is Breslin who steals almost every scene that she is in, showing a range of emotions that is uncommon among child actors with such major roles!
The trials and tribulations, the outrageousness, courageousness and hilarities of every day life are not lost in this production! While this film did not receive the box office explosion that other recent releases have, this film will win your heart! Linda and I - and the rest of the audience - found ourselves in a state of constant laughter - much needed after a long week of work(well, for Linda, anyway!)
