Az I Eat It....
Crown China 'Super' Buffet(All-You-Can-Eat) - in Phoenix, on the NE corner of W. Missouri and N. 7th Street
Crown China has the most varied buffet of any that I have patronized, with a fresh Sushi bar, and many buffets, each offering many different entrees, appetizers, sides, and desserts. The $9.95 Dinner price includes a soft drink or tea(less if you drink water), and the entrees included stone crab legs, BBQ ribs, several varieties of shrimp, soups, etc. Certainly a potential gourmand's Paradise.
However - I found the food to be much less than I would expect to be satisfying, and while you can go back for as much as you would like - I found myself wanting to retreat to a sit-down, choose-em menu at say, The Sesame Inn - more expensive, yes, but maybe worth the price!
Only ONE thing made the evening at Crown China special - I was surrounded by friends! Howie, Phil D., Carol, Alice, Phil B., Nick, Kelly, Bret, Steve - and even Bernie was there! What a great time - but they, alone, were the real Gems in this Crown! And, while that may go without saying - well, I said it!
