No, I am NOT the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby!....And Desert Schools FCU is NOT offering any special savings accounts for illegal immigrants, as had been rumored(Bank of anti-America is offering some programs.)  They are, however attempting to attract legal immigrants who can prove their legal status!....The Az. legislature is attempting to divert $1M from a program serving blind pre-schoolers, after the request was made by the Az. State Schools for the Deaf and Blind.  Bet those kids never saw that one coming!....Az. public schools have banned many physical education contact activities, such as dodgeball, wallball, tag, tackle football, etc.  Thankfully, sexual activities and physical/verbal assaults have not been banned, and all are thriving!....Arizona's recent minimum wage increase is causing massive layoffs for teens and disabled persons.  Turns out only an estimated 8% of the workforce was earning poverty-level wages necessary to support their families!  The rest were teens, retirees, disabled persons and illegal immigrants!  Millions were spent to pass this law, and the federal government's mandated increase will soon make all of it moot!....The Az. legislators have taken another step towards adding toll lanes on our FREEways.  This will not solve our traffic congestion problems.  Their (il)logic says that by allowing solo drivers to pay for the use of the HOV lanes, there would be less congestion in the other lanes.  Following that (il)logic, allowing all solo drivers to use the HOV lane would ease congestion, regardless of a toll - as I have reasoned and ranted for many years!  Oh - and the toll money?  The governor boasts a $600M surplus.  Use that to build and maintain roads.  That is for whom the road tolls!....I will NEVER watch ABC's Diane Sawyer again!  She recently interviewed Iran's whacked-out president while wearing clothing and a scarf to cover all but her face, as Muslim women are mandated, and certainly not what she would normally wear.  If she interviews Hugh Hefner while she's nude, I'll reconsider.  What a sellout!....President Bush seeks $250B additional monies for the Iraq War.  Meanwhile, there are more crime deaths in the U.S., daily, than GI deaths in Iraq - along with starvation, poverty, drug abuse, etc.  Historically, the economy thrives during wartime, but we are losing the War at Home!....If you agree the proposed GI surge is a bad idea, wait until the up-coming surge of Iraqi immigrants to the U.S. - especially to Arizona!....A new urinal-deodorizing tablet uses motion-activated audio, encouraging men to NOT drink-and-drive.  How unfortunate, though, that its closing admonition is, "Your future is in your hands!"
