Az I See It....

We are responsible for what we do - unless we are politicians, administrators, or celebrities!....Several groups are distributing referendum petitions for the 2008 ballot, in hopes that they can force State lawmakers to abide by immigration laws/legislation.  Most Arizona politicians do not have the integrity to support the citizenry, because they are waiting to find out whether illegal immigrants will be given access to vote - by either pro-action or omission.  President Bush's final slaps-in-our-faces may well be to allow illegals to access certain citizen rights, and Gov. Napolitano is not enamored with requiring ID at the polls.  It's time to replace her, too!(Can you say 'Sheriff Joe?)....The Internet will actually have little effect on the 2008 Presidential elections, as most of the potential YouTube surfers will not vote, reasoning that they have made an impact simply by watching the Clinton attack ads, and the others that will soon surface for other prospective candidates.  And the fact that they are distracted by their Internet addictions!....Teachers are the most degreed, yet underpaid, underappreciated and undersupported profession in the United States.  A new national study also finds teachers to be barely qualified - regardless of degrees or experience - yet public school administration has changed their own role to that of Site Manager, instead of Instructional Leader!  Though classified as Highly Qualified, due to educational training, no one should expect new college graduates to be Highly Capable, until sufficient successful experience is attained.  A capable administrator will mentor these valuable personnel, and not burden veteran teachers - who have their own students and responsibilities, for which they are accountable.  Interestingly, the average age of school administrators is much younger than even ten years ago - and new administrators are entering their authoratative positions with much less classroom experience than in prior years.  Does anyone else see the correlation?....Official are concerned with childhood obesity, and therefore are limiting or banning school-sponsored candy sales.  Meanwhile, law enforcement officials report that drug dealers are adding meth to certain candies, in an attempt to addict our youth.  Parents - where are you?  What a sick world!
