Az I See It....

Education administration is again wondering what should be done about bullying, including the inappropriate use of cybertools, i.e., cell-phones, cameras, internet, etc.  Duh!  Many schools have appropriate rules, but apply a 'Don't ask, don't tell' policy.  Typical!  These are the same administrators who allow students to return to their schools, even after those same students committed repeated threats, acts of violence and/or weapons infractions against others - including teachers!  It is ironic, that those same students are immediately expelled, after committing those infractions against administrators.  It is unfortunate that those students know the system, and typically do not challenge that echelon, opting to continue their evil at the accepted lower-levels.  What to do?  Actually ban all cybertools, expell repeat offenders, and terminate all administrators who choose to not support the safety of their students and staff, in order to reflect a more positive PR for themselves, their schools and their district!....Once again, the Arizona Auditor General has determined that our public schools are directing less money to classrooms than in previous years, and continue to fall farther below the national average.  However, administrative positions and salaries continue to increase at a rate much higher than the national average.  Whomever has the Money, has the Power!....The Michigan prison system has experienced ten prisoner suicides in the past fifteen months.  Since Arizona has an extreme backlog of Death Row inmates, with no foreseeable executions, why not outsource some of those inmates to Michigan - saving time and money?....Google the Waste Not Celebrity Chef Challenge, and find out which area restaurants are participating, and which entrees your local local celebrities are supporting, in this worthwhile effort to feed the needy!....In 1907, there were only 8,000 cars in the U.S., and only 144 miles of paved roads.  Today, in the Phoenix metro area, there are 800,00 cars and only about 144 miles of paved roads.  The rest are either planned for the next twenty years, or are under constant construction!
