The 2007 Arizona Cardinals' college player draft yielded much needed depth - as they are now assured of remaining in the depths of the NFL West Division!   Unless some quality player acquisitions are made, expect the Cards to wallow - again!

     The  NFL and the City of Glendale are seeking ten-thousand volunteers for the 2008 Superbowl.  Can you believe it?  Glendale, the NFL, and surrounding municipalities have predicted an influx profit of more than $400M - and they don't want to pay anyone for their efforts to make this show a reality!  Taxpayers paid to have the University of Phoenix Stadium built, and remember, the NFL does not give ticket rights to season ticket holders, either.  Only ten percent of the stadium - less than 8,000 tickets - will be made available, in a lottery, for the highest-priced season ticket holders.  Hey, volunteers - the line forms here!

     The Kentucky Derby, first jewel of horse racing's Triple Crown, was won in magnificent style! Street Sense - a betting favorite - came from 19th place(20 horse field) from the last turn to the final stretch - for an impressive victory of more than two lengths!  A sure betting favorite to win the Preakness!
