Az I Play It....
Mike Muscato has FINALLY played his first professional baseball game! On Thursday, June 14th, he led the Port Charlotte(Florida) Redfish to a 13-5 victory over the Anderson(South Carolina) Joes, in a South Coast League game. Muscato went 4-for-6, all left-handed, with a triple and 4 RBI's, catching the first five innings and playing first base the last four - attaining 'Player of the Game' honors. His 2-run single broke a 5-5 tie in the 4th, and his 2-run triple broke the game open in the 6th!
On Friday, the Joe's won, 7-0, but Muscato went 1-for-2, with two BB's, all from the right side of the plate! He played first base, giving his knees a well-deserved respite. He had flown to Florida(all day) Tuesday, then traveled(by bus) for ten hours, with the team, on Wednesday!
