Okay, there's more(gimme a break - I was away for awhile!)....Two U.S. Representatives from Illinois have announced legislation that would quadruple fines, from $25K to $100K, for cities that release sewage water into the Great Lakes - beginning in 2027!  Yeah, that should do it!....Did you enjoy the 4th of July fireworks extravaganzas?  Many municipalities, as well as countless organizations, had more than one night of celebrations, due to the 4th being mid-week.  The 'Haves' will never learn - or care - as the enormous expense, nationwide, costing hundreds of millions of dollars, betrays the homeless and indigent, as well as being responsible for a multitude of injuries, arson, and deaths!  Why not have ONE year - just ONE - where all monetary allocations, nationwide, are instead directed at those less fortunate - the 'Have-nots?'  Are you listening, Mr. Gore?....New research indicates that nutrition programs in schools are a waste of money - more than $1B - with only four of the many programs showing any minimally sustained success.  But the government is on the right track.  If they continue to remove trans-fats from foods, then all foods will taste so bad, that they will join Krispie Kreme in ignominity!(Eat that word!)....Here's another enigma - new studies show that recent high school grads are entering college with much higher GPA's than the generation of 40 years ago.  Problem is, most standardized tests - and, in fact, clinical data, demonstrates that today's students, though they may be more tech-savvy, are not nearly as well-rounded or intelligent as previous generations!(text that message!)
