The United Nations Atomic Energy Agency reports a slowdown in Iran's uranium production, which they interpret as being an indication that Iran may finally be willing to compromise.  Recent surveillance photos show massive tunnels beneath the centrifuge site - an indication that production may be almost complete, and storage is in process!....Iraq's Prime Minister, al-Maliki, now proclaims that U.S. troops may withdraw at any time, and that he can keep Iraq under control.  President Bush asserts that the 'surge' will continue, until all Mid-East countries acknowledge his greatness, and John McCain is elected President!....Congress has denied consideration of a bill that would allow GI's increased time between deployments - but still less time than Congressmen receive for summer recess.  They just do not get it!....And Congress is lashing-out against talk-radio programs that do not present opposing views of political situations, as they are supposed to do, this as a result of the anti-illegal immigration amnesty stance - instead of reform and enforcement - that doomed recent legislative efforts.  Maybe Congress should focus their impassioned efforts on enacting laws that will benefit their constituents' lives, and not just their own!....From my friend, Tom T:   Fruits and veggies are not cheap because of illegal immigrant labor, as many politicians and Arizona business leaders(including Jerry Colangelo, now!) profess.  Government and citizen subsidies/expenses for illegals include free school breakfasts/lunches, as well as educational resources - including ESL programs and free daycare, for the children of students(and lower educational standards);  free medical care;  higher insurance costs, with greater liabilities;  increased crime and prison/court costs, etc.  Cheap tomatoes, anyone?....More than $2B has been paid by Catholic Dioceses, nationally, to settle pedophilia claims against priests.  Aren't you glad that your hard-earned, well-intentioned donations have been used for the Good of God?  And Pope Benedict XVI has recently re-affirmed that Catholicism is the only true path to Salvation, denying all other religions.  An Amendment to the Doctrine ensures altar-boy exclusivity rights for the priests!....Louisiana Sen. David Vitter has admitted to being involved with the D.C. Madam scandal.  Another Congreesman says that like a child that did something wrong, he should be forgiven, but spanked.  Isn't that what got Vitter into trouble in the first place?....The Arizona Medical Board has suspended the license of Dr. Peter J. Normann, labeling him "an imminent threat to public safety," after an investigation of at least three deaths, dating to December 2006, from liposuction procedures.   Like the doctor, shouldn't the Board be investigated - for allowing this 'imminent threat' to continue to literally suck the life out of people, for such a protacted period of time!....Scottsdale officials have reached a compromise to allow 'lap-dancing' to continue, in local strip clubs, as long as 'private parts' are not touched.  Those same officials will continue to give locals the 'run-around' and could not guarantee the citizenry will not get 'screwed!'....Three Peoria City officials have just been awarded bigger raises than was given to the Peoria Police Department.  Shame on them!....Sprint Nextel Corp. is discontinuing service to at least 1,000 customers who averaged 40 to 50 complaints each, per month, informing them that they cannot meet their wireless needs.  Can you hear me now?....Dolly Parton has been named a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts - there's gotta be a joke there, somewhere!
