Little Children(rated 'R' - on DVD) - starring Kate Winslet, Jennifer Connelly and Patrick Wilson
This film received three Academy Award nominations - including Winslet, for Best Actress. Why? Okay - she got naked a few times. Get over yourself, Kate. The film is about a communuity's struggle, upon learning of a paroled sex-offender moving into the neighborhood. The other main plot is how two couples cope with the stresses of everyday life, both personal and within the community. Little Children was not a big box-office draw, supposedly because of its 'dark subject matter.' More like the lack of substance. Kate looked better in Titanic.
