Az I Shop It....
On a day when the outside temperature topped 110F, what better thing to do than go to an air-conditioned grocery store. It was time to replenish the produce/dairy(Arky2 stopped by), and to purchase my coupon items - so off to Fry's I went! Fry's also has a 'Fry's Card' discount program(FREE), that enables member shoppers to receive all in-store sales prices. And I've found that Fry's usually has better produce than Basha's(it's a shame that Henry's went out of business - and I don't like Sprouts as well), and usually gets newly advertised items sooner, also.
I had clipped my Sunday Arizona Republic insert coupons, retrieved others that I was ready to use, and was ready to shop! I purchased products such as Starkist tuna(@10 for $10 - the good stuff!); Yoplait yogurt(@20 for $10); some newly-advertised granola bars(@1.99/box); Florida brand orange juice(@2 for $6); and some cereal products that were on sale(2 for $5), etc. - for a sub-total of $51.93 Then, my sale items were discounted, and the coupons were added in, bringing the final tally to only $23.50 - a savings of $28.43 - more savings than I actually had to pay! Not a bad hour's wage!
