President Bush has announced that he does, in fact, see a parallel between Viet Nam and the Iraq war - that we pulled out of Nam too soon, and the results would also be disastrous if we were to withdraw 'too early' from Iraq.  The only parallel that I see is that Bush didn't serve in either War!....More 'talk' of re-instituting a military draft, from high-ranking military commanders, as they claim U.S. forces are 'seriously strained' from Iraq/Afghan deployments.  And many more politicos are inclined to include women in such a draft.  How about just bringing the troops home?....Seven high-ranking Army officers will receive reprimands, in the now-determined 'unintentional' friendly-fire death of U.S. Army Ranger Pat Tillman, and none of the reprimands will be placed into the officers' permanent files.  Seems the only permanent record is Tillman's death!....The U.S. has fallen to 42nd in the world, for natural life expectancy.  Chief among American's increasing mortality rate is President Bush sending them to Iraq!....And Iran's President Ahmadinejad(pronounced "I'm-an-Idiot") is predicting the demise of the Jewish State, declaring "The Zionist regime is the standard-bearer of invasion, occupation and Satan."  American's are eager to be his 'standard-pallbearer!'....Arky2 recently completed seven weeks of ROTC cadet training at West Point Military Academy and Fort Knox, receiving awards for his accomplishments in physical training/fitness, but he loved shooting and exploding things, and riding in tanks and helicopters - and now begins his junior year at ASU - Hooah!....The U.S. government has its own set of rules in dealing with businesses that hire illegal immigrants, with the caveat that they 'can' be prosecuted - not 'will' be prosecuted!....A new $5 bill will soon be introduced to the public.  It looks much like the Mexican peso, and will bear the images of Pancho Villa and Che Guevara, instead of that silly-looking bearded yokel!....New Orleans' Mayor-for-Life, Ray Nagin, says that escalating murder in the Crescent City, while worrisome for tourists, also "keeps the New Orleans brand in the news,"  thereby giving greater meaning to the adage "There's no such thing as bad publicity!"....A recent change in federal law has inadvertently discontinued a subsidy for birth control, at all public universities.   So far, implications have been met with a 'pregnant pause,' with critics claiming that college women will now be faced with higher drop-out rates, more unwanted pregnancies/abortions, and having to choose between food, rent and books - or birth control!  Get a life!....The NAACP wants Michael Vick to to be able to return to pro football, upon completion of his felony prison sentence(for involvement in dog-fighting enterprises, gambling and racketeering.)  It would be very appropriate, if he returns to Atlanta as the NFL's premiere hotdog vendor!
