Az I Play It....

The season is over for the South Coast League, Manager Cecil Fielder and his Charlotte County Redfish - and catcher/outfielder/1st baseman Mike Muscato - a rookie in the pro ranks, finishing the season with a .305 batting average.  Despite catching 30 games in 30 days - with six double-headers(including back-to-back double-headers twice!) - he played regardless of typical nagging injuries, when others refused to take the field.  And in the extreme heat and humidity of Gulf Coast Florida, South Carolina and Georgia, he hit .357 in the month of August!  Truly remarkable!  Hopefully, an MLB affiliated team will recognize his talents, and sign him for next season.  He was certainly was a great catch(er), for the Charlotte County Redfish!
