Az I Play It....
The highlight of the Arizona Cardinals' 2007 NFL season will be that they almost defeated the San Diego Chargers - losing in the closing seconds - in pre-season! Owner Bill Bidwill has no urgency to win, as evidenced by releasing Pro Bowl punter, Scott Player, in favor of rookie Mike Barr - at a savings of $500K. And Barr will have to hold for placekicker Neil Rackers, effectively hindering another part of the Cards already limited scoring capabilities. And the recent 3rd round draft pick, LB Buster Davis, has been released - along with his almost $700K signing bonus - yet another sign that player personnel leadership is deficient, and that an administrative overhaul(not just a different coaching staff) is long overdue.
