President Bush signed an ethics bill into law, effective January 1, 2008, aimed at curbing lobbyists' influence on Congress.  A separate action, aimed at curbing the misguided ethics of Bush and his Cabinet, will go into effect on January 20, 2009!....Sen. John McCain's wife, Cindy, has spoken in support of the flailing presidential hopeful, saying, "he is the only candidate that knows what it means to send our troops into war, and how to bring them home with honor."  Evidently 'honor' and 'in a bodybag' are synonymous, and acceptable, to the Republican party!....People in Zimbabwe have resorted to slaughtering and eating their dogs, in an effort to fend off mass starvation.  In a separate story, it has been reported that Atlanta Falcons' QB, Michael Vick, was seen applying for a travel visa to Zimbabwe!....In completion of the 1994 NAFTA agreement, Mexican trucks will now be allowed to travel into U.S. territory, even among concerns of illiterate drivers and unsafe vehicles - as if this is something new.  Mexicans have already been driving in the U.S., for a long time, with unsafe vehicles, lack of knowledge of 'rules of the road,' and with blatant disregard and lack of concern for safe driving, on this country's already unsafe roads!....It's the latest political and media tactic.  Refer to illegal immigrants as 'undocumented'  Kind of makes them appear to be victims, discriminated against, by our legal, bigoted society.  Awwww!....Studies show that donkeys kill more people, annually, than plane crashes or shark attacks.  The moral is....watch your ass!
