Az I See It....
Part Two - Once again, I have been passed-over for any Nobel Prize!....Sen. Sam Brownback(Rep.-Kansas) has withdrawn his candidacy for President of the United States, leaving his fellow candidates to exclaim, "Who?"....Many more Arizona schools are reported to be failing, even though Az. Schools Superintendant Tom Horne professes that his methods and programs are succeeding, evidently based on the expertly proclaimed, insignificant results of AIMS and TerraNova tests!....On the same day that Mesa Schools report a large decline in enrollment, possibly due to employer-sanctions laws, Arizona reports the lowest unemployment rate since 1967(3.3%), even considering the slump in the housing market, and the crackdown on hiring illegals. It seems that Americans will do some of the jobs that illegals have held, and makes you wonder if our politicians are lying to us(duh?)....Mesa schools
are concerned that fewer students will equate to lesser State funding.
While that may be the initial circumstance, they may more likely see a
surplus of available funds for a variety of reasons, ie., public
assistance services, books and supplies, transportation, lower crime rate, etc., and an increase in test scores - yeah, even AIMS and TerraNova!....Nationally, schools are reporting that much healthier food is being served to students. I remember the famous words of Crocodile Dundee - Sure, you can eat it, but it tastes like #%@*!....
