While this is not AARP sanctioned, I felt that it is appropriate to promote the following:
Are you inspired by a senior citizen? Nominations are being accepted for the 2008 Ageless Heroes award, sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona, and the Arizona Republic! Nominations, for Arizonans aged 65 and older, are due by Monday, November 19th(sorry for the late notice - I just found out myself!)
There are six(6) categories:
-Against the Odds
-Champion for Health
-Community Involvement
-Creative Expressions
-Love of learning
-Vigor and Vitality
This year, an additional category, Emerging Hero, has been added, for Arizonans aged 55 to 64
