Az I Eat It....

Le Rhone - 9401 W. Thunderbird

You cannot blame the waitress for the slow service.  We must have overwhelmed the chef at this once pre-eminent Peoria restaurant!  Our party of six waited much too long for even the appetizers - and they were just average, at best.  The fifteen Red Hat Society members, and the fifteen Gray Hair Society babes, were too much for Lisa and her seemingly disappearing co-waiter.  However, when the entrees arrived, I must admit that I was surprised by the quality and taste of my 12-ounce prime rib - it was delicious, although others were disappointed in their similar entrees.  The desserts were promptly available, and no one complained of the Raspberry Meringue Glacee, Peach Melba, or NY-Style Cheesecake.  But $3 for a cup of coffee?  C'mon!
The waiting time, however, did lead to one of the best 'Exclusively' dinner events, as friendships were both solidified and diverse!  I'd go back for the dessert, Steve will return for the waitress, and Phil will return for whatever he may have forgotten there!
