Az I Teach It....
-Additional high school math and science requirements will begin in 2008-09. While experts maintain this to be an important component of personal and societal success, Az. Education Guru Tom Horne insists that fast-food industry hi-tech cash registers are already capable of much more than the Az. Ed. Dept. will ever mandate, and that the extra requirements are discriminatory to minimum wage earners!
-The judge in Flores v. Arizona, the never-ending lawsuit seeking mega-millions for 150,000 non-English learner education, has told both parties to attempt mediation. If the 120,000 illegals were sent back to their homelands, there would be an abundance of funding available for the remaining 30,000. And why does it seem that the European and Asian nationals are much more eager to learn the language and assimilate into Western culture, while Mexican nationals would rather fight to defiantly relocate their culture, and oppose U.S. culture(and U.S. Customs!)
