Az I Eat It....

Tutti Santi Ristorante Italiano by Nina - 59th Ave. & W. Utopia(hidden in a nw corner plaza)

Let's start at the beginning.  Our waiter - Fabio - was not very attentive, and this is especially poor when the 'made from scratch' dinners take longer to prepare.  Dinner began with a minimal serving(a sliced roll, basically) of 'Italian' bread that had no flavor of its own, and was served cold, although wrapped in cloth that would normally keep it hot.  The salad was simply a couple of green leaves, chopped, with a vinegar and oil dressing, and ONE small slice of tomato - no onion - no carrots - no cheeses - no nothing - and I choked on the added ground pepper!
As promised, it took quite awhile for the entrees - I ordered ravioli, while Linda ordered the eggplant parmesan.  While waiting, some friends-of-yore approached, and raved of the food quality, extolling the virtue of having an 'upscale Italian' in the neighborhood(could she have meant Fabio?)  Anyway, when the entrees arrived, the ravioli was served on an over-sized dinner plate, in a cheese sauce, with a half-teaspoon of marinara on each of the only six ravioli($15.95)  The spinach/ricotta filling was tasteful, but scant, and a bit watery.  Linda's eggplant($12.95) was served with the skin still intact(I guess the locals must love it?), and served with a side of spaghetti that was similar to what you'd expect to find at Fazoli's.  For dessert, I ordered the Creme Broulee($6.50) - but only if it was fresh.  Well, it may have been too fresh - served with only a small sprig of mint - no fruit/cookie/syrup - again, nothing!  And it was very watery!
Ambiance?  Not much different from any neo-Italian, but all-in-all, not much more than an 'upscale' Bravi, which is just down the street.  For 50 bucks, I expected a lot more.  Some things leave a bad taste in your mouth, while some people just have bad taste!  Welcome to the neighborhood!

Man you are so wrong about this place. Howie and I have gone there and everything was outstandingly wonderful. The owner came out and was very nice, The Hostess was as sweet as can be, came to our table to see if we were enjoying our selves. The waiter was very attentive. Our food was fantastic. Its about time a upscale restrant opened close by. Arky you must be from north italy this was southern Italy and much diffrent from any italian restrant I have ever eated in. We loved every thing about it and can't wait to go back. Also the place is decorated in beautiful taste.

Actually, my heritage is from Sicily, and if I wanted a nice owner, a sweet hostess, and an attentive waiter, I'd go to the Mallin residence! I seem to recall a tale(from Howie) of both the cheesecake and the creme brulee being terrible(and comped because of it), and the lasagna was awful, too! The owner has been in the valley for many years, and each restaurant has closed, I can assume, from customers deciding that enough was enough(at any price!) Mangia!
