-Shame on the NHL, for preceding the recent Winterfest outdoor hockey game, between the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins, with the performance of 'God Bless America' after a rendition of Canada's 'O Canada' its national anthem. 'The Star-Spangled Banner' should have been performed - OUR national anthem - and then 'God Bless America,' or 'America, the Beautiful' could have been performed between periods, as is done during the seventh-inning stretch of most MLB games. No wonder the NHL is considered by many to be on par with pro soccer!
