I am also now able to participate in many worthwhile volunteer activities, including being the President of AARP Chapter #1, located in Youngtown, Az. -The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring its annual Free Throw contest for girls and boys, aged 10 to 14. Competition will be Saturday, January 19th, at Paseo Verde Elementary School, 7880 W. Greenway Rd., at 9:00am(registration begins at 8:45am). Call Jose Esparza for more info, at 623-825-6848

-The Texas Tech basketball team has given Coach Bobby Knight his 900th NCAA victory. Like him or not, he produces winning programs! Congratulations, Mr. Knight!
