Az I Use It....

- The new freeway signs are up and working - they're just not very accurate!  At 3:51pm(heading west), the sign near the I-10 Deck Park Tunnel said it would take 20 minutes to reach Peoria Ave.  It actually took me only TEN minutes.  What a waste of taxpayer money!(Oh, I get it - the Sign made me do it!)

-If adding HOV lanes would speed traffic, except for the 5% of commuters that are able to use them, why did the City of Phoenix opt for 'reverse lanes' on 7th Ave., and 7th St., during rush hour times, instead of making the center lanes reversible?  Why are our state and local planners adamant about 'expanding' our freeways with more HOV lanes, just so that they are available during times in which they are not as necessary?

-The biggest obstructions to smog-control, fuel economy and time savings are lack of drivable lanes, and intersection designs that inhibit right turns at stoplights.  If reverse lanes work, in heavy city traffic, because an added lane is available, then the same logic will prove out on the freeways, too!
