Az I See It....
- With a global emphasis on 'greening,' it is unconscionable that government economic consumer incentives for renewable energy products and practics are quickly being eliminated. It's as though the 'powers that be' have merely come upon another means to bilk consumers - and eliminate their potential financial losses!
- Prisons now house every 1-in-100 inhabitants, in the U.S., leading the world in prison population per capita. At least 80% of those incarcerated are non-citizens - also leading the world! Land of the Free, Home of the Brazen!
- Arizona legislators are about to effectively repeal the sanctions laws that voters fought for, to stem illegal immigration. 'Don't ask, don't tell' will be the norm, if HB's 2341 thru 2346 are passed, resulting in a renewed surge in illegal immigration. Call your Representatives, but don't be surprised if, when you ask - they won't tell!
- Shepherd Junior High, in Mesa, Arizona, has modified its recent 'no hug, no PDA' policy, after protests by students who were supported by their parents - who want their 11 to 15-year old children to be as sexually active as the parents were(and are) in their own illicit drug usage!
- Laws against text-messaging and cellphone use DO save lives. Arizona HB's 2396 thru 2398 create more sevee penalties for these irrational and potentially deadly driving activities. Some legislators are adamant that they will not have the desired effect, but the same was said of 'mandatory use of seatbelt laws' - and we've found that those DO save lives, afterall! Pass these laws, as other states are quickly doing. Can you hear me now?
