Az I See It....
- NY Governor Spitzer had been an adamant foe of prostitution, in his home state, but this scandal is from an international ring, so he was simply supporting NAFTA, even though it wasn't exactly 'free' trade!
- Geraldine Ferraro has resigned from the Clinton campaign, for stating that Obama would not have gotten this far in his campaign if he wasn't a Black man. I see nothing wrong with the statement, as all of the political analysts have dissected the primary voting into several racial categories; Oprah has enthusiastically endorsed the Illinois senator, pulling from Clinton's form Black support base; Obama's Pastor('like an old Uncle,' says Barack), has now given his endorsement, ranting racial emphasis! Of course Obama's campaign success is about Race!
- Many Arizona school districts are suing to have the state include them in a Career Ladder program, that may level the field, in the ability to hire teachers, by allowing for comparable salary offerings. A better long-term solution would be to equalize salaries/benefits statewide, so that teachers would have little difficulty working wherever they wanted, and rural Arizona communities may be able to attract quality educators!
- Sweet Sin, a local high school rock band, is still in the SRP Garage Band competition to secure a performance at the Tempe Music Festival along with such performers as Fergie, and My Chemical Romance. A recent 'battle' performance at Desert Ridge will be aired on Cox Cable channel 7, after which internet voting will take place, to determine the winner. After viewing the performances, voting will be done at www.ecollegetimes.com, during the week of March 17-23. Watch the taped performance(Cox Cable 7) on the following dates/times:
March 17th - 8:00pm
March 21st - 7:00pm
March 22nd - 9:00pm
March 23rd - 1:00pm
