- Selling sex in Sweden is legal, but buying sex is illegal. This policy has greatly curtailed prostitution in this Nordic country. Many U.S. officials are now traveling 'abroad,' to study the laws of Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands, saying they are determined to uncover the bare facts!
- Sen. Clinton is again being pressured to withdraw from the Democratic nomination process - by Obama supporters - even as news has surfaced(on the inside pages only) of Obama contributions to Super Delegates, approaching the $1M mark!This country is just not ready for eight more years of economic and foreign policy esteem and prosperity, as was during Bill Clinton's administration!
- The more than 200 Chihuahua's rescued from a Tucson couple, along with almost 600 other dogs, have been sought for adoption by people from all over the country. Said one Arkansas man, "Tastes like chicken!"
- Let's see if I've got this correct - all levels of Arizona government are in dire financial straits - freezing salaries and hiring, and approving lay-offs, yet the Peoria City Council has given themselves a 5% pay raise, and the Glendale City Council secretly approved an 8% raise for their City Manager!
- Sheriff Arpaio was implored by businesses and community members, to crackdown on the illegal immigrants, when Phoenix PD ignored the increasing crime and other inherent disturbances, no doubt fearing political backlash. Now that the crackdown has begun, Arpaio is being implored to cease and desist, because customers are avoiding businesses in the affected areas, where public protests now dominate the local media. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon has even made an about-face, fearing the loss of votes from affected illegals, intent on obtaining U.S. voting rights(without being citizens!), for his 2010 run for the Arizona Governorship!
