Az I AARP It....

- On Thursday, May 8th, AARP celebrated its 8th Annual National Day of Service.   Locally, AARP Chapter #1(Youngtown, Az) received a donation of approximately $1,000 worth of paperback and hardcover books from the Friends of the Youngtown Library(Patrice Druehl, Founder and President), and in turn, donated them to the Veteran's Administration Hospital, through the facilitation of Philip Dello Russo, and AARP Chapter #1 President Arky Muscato.
AARP Chapter #1 also donated $100 to Calligraphy West, an organization that creates beautiful calligraphied cards - blank on the inside - and sends them to our troops overseas, so that they may write to their loved ones.
All in the spirit of 'To Serve - not to be Served!

- There are no general membership meetings of AARP Chapter #1 during the months of June, July, or August.  The next general meeting will be September 12th - one week later than usual, so that President Arky Muscato, and Vice-President Linda Muscato, can attend and report on the 50th AARP National Convention, to be held in Washington, DC, September 4th thru the 6th!
