Election News: Two skinheads, arrested for plotting to behead Blacks and assassinate Barack Obama, while wearing white tophats and tuxes, are said to be too disorganized to actually have carried out such a plan. Well, DUH! Everyone knows it's black tophats and tuxes after Labor Day!....Some analysts are touting the McCain healthcare plan, which includes taxing employer-paid benefits for the first time, as being better than Obama's plan - and a powerful incentive to encourage people to purchase health insurance. These analyses do not consider that whatever money is made available to Americans will be spent on food, shelter and clothing first! They also do not consider that as premiums rise, so will payroll income taxes; and as pre-existing conditions surface, consumers will be priced out and potentially dropped from affordable coverage. Quality, affordable health care should be an American Right - not a luxury! Let's use some of that $10B per month, from Iraq, and wage a war for human decency!
National: Nebraska's governor is calling a special legislative session to amend it's child abandonment law, setting an age restriction of 3-days old. More than a dozen teens have recently been turned over to authorities, including some from out-of-state. Once the age restriction is re-set, the only legal parental alternatives will be supervision and responsibility!....For a country in economic turmoil, Americans spent $42M on High School Musical 3, on its opening weekend!
