Prologue: If the rest of the country were to turn their clocks back one hour, every six months, it would take Arizona only forty years to catch up to them.
International: Scientists are pressing to save the axolotl, or Mexican Walking Fish, a foot-long salamander near extinction due to the loss of its natural habitat and deteriorating water quality, near Mexico City. Also threatened with extinction are Mexican police, 13 of whom were recently killed for encroaching on the natural habitat of drug dealers, and with inferior weapons for fighting cartel proliferation!
National: Actor Denis Leary has come under fire for his insensitive remarks about the validity of autism diagnoses, and possible causes and remedies. What no one will say, and no studies have reported(or been attempted) is that the recreational drug usage of the boomer generation may certainly be a main cause in the proliferation of autism, altering genetic structures of egg and/or sperm, much as alcohol and smoking has been proven to affect the unborn!
State/Local: Only one-third of Arizona's new speed cameras are in operation, but the remainder are going on-line quickly. What officials have not been forthright about is that tickets will be issued for vehicles traveling ten(10) or more mph over the posted speed limits. This is a significant change from the eleven(11) or over that Scottsdale cameras used to flash!....Most stores in the local malls gave out candy treats to children on Halloween - except Victoria's Secret, which offered only eye candy!
Epilogue: No one ever says, "It's only a game" when they are winning!
