Az I Play It....
- The Arizona Cardinals are 'flying high' after defeating some of the worst teams in the NFL, and admittedly a couple that should have played better, but didn't. Those teams however(Buffalo, Dallas) were horrible, and in no way that bad because of the Cardinals!(Yeah, I know you die-hards don't believe that!)
Now comes word that Edgerrin James wants out, because he sees no role in the team's future 'success' after being benched - and the football oracles, analysts and pundits are relegating him to the 'over-the-hill anyway' gang! Let's see - that would include Emmitt Smith, who came here to die, and a host of other accomplished RBs that either were great before and after their Cardinals debacles, or those who simply left the Cards to achieve success. The same offensive line problem that left Neil Lomax disabled(20 years ago), is still haunting this over-hyped circus.
At the start of the season, I predicted that 8-8 would be the likely outcome for a healthy Kurt Warner. That means they only have to defeat St. Louis and Seattle to make my prediction wrong. They will not likely defeat the Giants, Eagles, Vikings or Patriots - and I do not think they can defeat Seattle again - and maybe not St. Louis! Either way, for you die-hards, the Cardinals are going to the Superbowl anyway - they get free tickets!
