Az I Eat It....
Thee Pitts Again - 5558 W. Bell Rd.
If you like your barbeque in an old-fashioned diner-type setting, then this place is just what you ordered. If you care more about the quality/taste of the food, then try somewhere else! While this diner has been written-up, by many critics, as being one of the best in the Valley, it only goes to show that the Arizona sun will bake the taste and common sense right out of your mouth and brain!
Chicken, ham, turkey, ribs, pulled pork and beef are among their offerings. And none stood out as being anything more than ordinary, at best. The prices were lower than expected, but reflective in the poor quality.
And worst of all - the silverware had dried watermarks and grease on most of it. I swiped some off of the unused tables and had a difficult time trying to find any clean forks, spoons or knives among the pre-wrapped napkin settings! Also, the servers were mostly young-somethings, and was a bit 'slow-to-where are they!'
If you want good barbeque, try Dave's Barbeque(several Valley locations), or log-on to: www.itssogoodbbq.com and buy the best barbeque sauce in the world, direct from Chicago transplant Joey Chernoff.
Then pull your own pork!
