International: Peace talks in Gaza have stalled, because Israel objects to exchanging Palestinian terrorists, that were responsible for particularly bloody attacks on Israelis, for one Israeli soldier that was kidnapped in 2006. Hey - get it done! One Israeli soldier's life is worth more than any amount of Palestinian blood!....The vote is in! Venezuela' Prsident Chavez has accomplished unlimited terms of office. Next will be 'President-for-Life!'(Castro, anyone?)
National: Southern Methodist University, in Texas, will be home to he world's largest collection of comic and coloring books, when it opens the George W. Bush Presidential Library!....Recent court ruling concluded that there is no connection between childhood vaccinations and autism. I would like to see a study of the the use of marijuana, and other 'recreational' drugs, on the connection to autism in the children of former(or present) drug users!....GM will reportely offer its 2010 Volt, an all-electric vehichle, for a least $30K. People cannot afford food and housing, let alone a car that costs $15K more than its gasoline competitors! Where's Henry Ford, when you want to flood the world with an inexpensive - and truly green, product? It's not about the green ecology - it's about the green economy - for the owners!
State/Local: Check your local AMC Theater listings for a showing of all of the Oscar-nominated films for 2008, on Saturday. An all-events pass is $30, a savings of at least $15!
