Az I See It....
Prologue: Chris Brown and Rhianna are ready to release their new duet, "I Beat Cho Ass/I Let Chu"
International: Some U.N. Muslim officials are pushing a resolution to ban public criticism of religions, specifically Islam. Opponents say that individuals have rights, not religions. One official actually said it is a kind of free speech that should not be allowed! Huh?
National: Bailed-out company CEOs were offered 'retention bonuses.' Where would they have gone, after they had run their companies into nationalized receivership?....Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl was chief among the opposition to tax those bonuses, saying Congress makes mistakes when they act hastily. Why do they always act hastily trying to recoup money, but never to let it go? And which lobbyists are in Kyl's pocket?....A man charged with felony assault, for beating a teenager(who mistakenly took his golf ball) with a golf club, has received probation and is required to attend anger management classes. The teenager was sentenced to 3 years in a juvenile detention center, for interfering with recreational commerce, and must attend a golf etiquette school.
State/Local: In a compromise with the Justice Department and Latino community, Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been ordered to only sweep older, White people, to determine citizenship!....Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon is encouraging residents to go further into debt, by purchasing new solar technology that will 'save money in the long run,' regardless of the much-inflated costs. My recent Solar City assessment revealed a 'break-even' at 15 years! If officials are really interested in going green, this technology should be affordable to all, ala Henry Ford!....The legislature has passed two anti-abortion bills that proponents claim protect the health of women, while they are really un-constitutional limits on their personal rights!....Phoenix dropped from 5th to 8th place on the 'Most Dangerous City' list, which considered crimes of murder, rape, and assault. Curiously, kidnapping was not among the criteria, or Phoenix would rank first!(Neither was crimes of legislation!)
Epilogue: Dogs look up to you, cats look down on you, pigs treat you as an equal. - Winston Churchill
