From the creators of Little Miss Sunshine comes another surprisingly wonderful film! The always charming and beautiful Adams, playing a single mom, and the equally charming and beautiful Blunt are sisters who have underachieved, through variously blamed abuses from life. Circumstances bring them an opportunity to set up Sunshine Cleaning, a crime scene clean-up company, and the trials and tribulations offer unpredictable twists and ironies. Arkin plays their father, a dreamer from a time long since past, who has his family's best interests at heart - and may very well win another Oscar for his supporting role - as may Blunt!
During a relative lull in major film releases, this is very much 'under the radar.' If this genre was as appreciated as it should be, Adams could be Oscar-nominated in a leading role! You will love this film - it cleans up good!
