State/Local: Arizona had long ago decided that it is less expensive to deport illegal immigrant criminals, than to give them free room and board in our jails for extended periods of time. Now, research indicates that many of these criminals re-enter Arizona, committing more - and more heinous crimes. Suggested solutions are to mandate longer prison sentences, again. Pay me now, or pay me later!....The Attorney General's Office is warning people of a scam by companies proposing to take your money, and have your property tax assessments re-evaluated, for a fee, as opposed to the County government, which has already taken your money at no extra charge!....Actually, people are still responding to the $189.00 scam offers to have their property taxes re-assessed, in hopes that they may receive a $50 refund. The County Assessor will refund over-payments(for free) - and Arizonans do not pay enough property taxes to ever worry about over-payment, anyway!....Arizona's Superintendent of Public Stupidity, Tom Horne, has received(and not-yet paid for all) six speeding tickets in the past one and one-half years - including going 22mph, in a 15mph posted school zone - and some on the same roadways, by the same speed cameras. He claims that they are speed traps, because the speed limit changes as the cameras are approached. Hey, Tom - they aren't 'traps' if you've been previously ticketed there - you KNOW where they are! No wonder our schools are in such sad shape! Pay attention, Mr. ADHD!
