- Can't meet the November 30th deadline for the new-house purchase tax credit? Calm down - Obama is on the way - again! His administration is working on not only extending the credit, but expanding it to $15K(instead of $8K), and allowing everyone to participate, instead of only first-time purchasers. I'll keep you posted!
- The Arizona Legislature is seriously considering ending school tax credit allowances. Remember - these are dollar-for-dollar credits, that benefit the schools extracurricular programs. There are separate credits allowed for public schools($250 single/$400 joint return), and private schools($500 single/$1,000 joint return). There are others, as well, such as one of my favorites - the Military Family Relief Fund($250 single/$400 joint return), and you can contribute and collect on ALL of these - and claim them on your federal tax returns(as deductions), too! Get 'em while you can!
