- AARP has partnered with restaurant.com to bring another great benefit to its members. AARP members ae now able to puchase retaurant gift certificates, valued at $25 towards the purchase of a $35 tab, for only $2.00. This is a 'sometimes rate' offered to restaurant.com users that is now available anytime for AARP members! Certificates are typically limited for each restaurant, but are valid for one(1) year!
- The 1st Annual Town of Yountown/AARP Health Fair, on Feb. 13th, was a big success, with more than sixty(60) vendors/exhibitors, providing medical/dental screenings for everyone from pediatrics to geriatrics - and pets, too! As promised, the weather was ideal, and the freebies, information, and services were more than I could have hoped for. I would like to extend my gratitude to all of my participating networking friends/exhibitors, volunteers, the Town of Youngtown, and the attendees! I'll work to make next year's event even better!
- The next AARP Chapter #1 meeting will be on Friday, March 5th. After the 5:30pm potluck dinner, our guest will speak about driver safety, and the AARP Driver Safety Program.
