- The NBA's Phoenix Suns proclaim that they are staying out of politics, but will wear their 'Los Suns' uniforms on Wednesday, in support of repealing Arizona's laws against illegal immigrants. Players appear unified in their support. also. Maybe if an NBA player is killed by an illegal, instead of a police officer, or a border rancher - maybe then they would know how the majority of Arizonans feel. Most Suns players do not not even live in Arizona in the off-season.
And it is interesting - no, hilarious - that they are showing concern for the Latino minority population, a demographic that is among the least able to afford to attend their games. I, for one, will no longer watch the Suns games, as I DO get it, and when you proclaim that you are not being political, then remain silent on the issue. Except for the very few NBA players who are from South American countries, the only Latinos you'll see at NBA games are the towel boys, service and cleaning crews. So, don't bite the hand that feeds you!
