The Reel Deal

SALT(rated PG-13) - starring Angelina Jolie and Liev Schreiber

When is Angelina ever NOT beautiful?  Even when in captivity, badly beaten and bruised, she is still a knockout!  Evelyn Salt(Jolie) is a CIA operative accused of being a double agent - a Russian spy - whose ultimate mission is to kill both the Russian and U.S. presidents.
The action was plentiful, the stunts were impressive(reportedly, Jolie did many of her own), and she has now re-invented herself, ala Madonna.  Remember the Adventures of Lara Croft?  Well, Evelyn Salt is now the new Jason Bourne(two more sequels?)  The only problem with this film is the unbelievable - even preposterous - situations in which Salt finds herself, and extricates herself, from the foot chases to the car chases to the gun battles.
So, if you're looking for an exciting dose of fantasy espionage, this could be just the right spice for you.  But, if you're looking for a believable storyline, you might want to take this one with a grain of SALT!
