- Let's see if I've got this straight: Premise for Arizona SB1070 opposition - The majority of illegal immigrants, in Arizona, are hardworking, good people, who are only interested in making a good life for their families, and are NOT criminals.
Hmmm....if they are here illegally, then they cannot pay income taxes on their earned incomes, because they have no Social Security numbers. If they DO have Social Security numbers, it is only because they are fraudulent or stolen. So, they're NOT paying taxes, or they are, but have stolen someone's ID, in order to do so. They are a major source of income for Mexico, where American dollars are highly-valued, and in the meantime, they are sucking the lifeblood out of our already over-burdened medical, educational, social, and law enforcement systems, while also occupying jobs - however menial, laborious, and low-paying - which legal citizens have lined-up for, when available, given these difficult financial times.
Most countries, including Mexico, have extremely strict immigration laws. Mexico loves American tourist dollars, but when Americans are suspected to be in Mexico illegally, they are arrested, and typically not well-treated. Likewise, other nations, ie., Russia, North Korea, China, and Iran, will arrest illegal border-crossers as spies, creating international incidents in most cases.
And the several states, and the country of Mexico, that have filed lawsuits to stop SB1070? Follow the money! Those governments have been bankrupted(or close to it) by the illegals among their populations, and know that if the illegals flee Arizona, they will run to other 'sanctuary' states(them!) - or back to Mexico - NONE of which is prepared for the social or economic fallout of such an event. Mexico stands to lose many millions of dollars, annually, which is otherwise easily funneled away from the U.S and into the Mexican economy. And the audacity of many of the illegals who proclaim they are leaving Arizona - and going to Pennsylvania, Utah, or Michigan, or some other state - where they will STILL be illegal!
So, when Arizona SB1070 has some of its provisions stayed, or stricken, by the courts, Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the few others who refuse to be politically correct(while Arizona becomes as destitute, defenseless, and defiled as California), they should begin arresting illegals as spies, and demanding they be traded for American citizens being held in Mexican jails(yes - there ARE hundreds!)
The opposition to SB1070 proclaims that this law is racist, comparing it to the Civil Rights riots of Black Americans, in the 1960s, and the anti-Gay legislation/demonstrations that still are pervasive in today's society. News flash! Black and Gay Americans ARE - and have always been - LEGAL citizens who deserve to be treated with equality under the U.S. Constitution. Illegals do NOT deserve equal American rights, because they are NOT U.S. citizens - they are ILLEGAL. This has NOTHING to do with race, except that the overwhelming majority of illegal immigrants ARE Mexican(probably because they respect U.S. law so much!)
Finally, this 'Boycott Arizona' nonsense - even boycotting Arizona Tea, which is made in Lake Success, New York(that's right!), and scare-tactic estimates that tourism will lose $90M(yeah, and the speed cameras were supposed to make $90M, too!) Well, how about this - let's have Arizonans boycott everything Mexican. Yeah - boycott On the Border, Ajo Al's, Valle Luna, El Patron, Filiberto's, Macayo's, Rubio's - and Taco Bell! Can you imagine if Americans stopped drinking Tequila, or Corona Beer? We'd have riots from one side of the border and DTs on the other!
