Az I Use It....
Tech 1 Auto - at 8736 W. Thunderbird Rd., in Peoria, Az - 623-486-4824 - owned by Fred Hules
Knowing that I needed an oil & filter change, I decided I would ask Fred(whom I had known from business networking, but had not yet patronized) about the severe vibration I encountered every time I would apply the brakes to my 2006 Chevy Equinox. I thought that it may be a caliper, as I had recently had the car at a Brakes Plus - a discount brake repair facility - and that is what they had attempted to have me pay for.
Imagine my surprise when I was shown the condition of all four brakes, and that the work that had previously been paid for was not done at all(only the front pads had been changed - and not to the specs I was told they would be!) Rotors not turned, and rear brakes not adjusted. Parts that should have been well lubricated were bone-dry, and rusted-over from years of use, with no maintenance from the recent supposed service.
When I left his shop, there was no vibration, and I was shown exactly what would be, and was done(I did NOT need a new caliper!) And Fred and his crew stayed about 1/2 hour later than closing time - and was still helping another customer when I left. All this on on a night when the BCS Bowl Championship was soon to kick-off. I know who my National Champion is!
