Az I Play It....

- NFL owners and players are locked in heated disagreement over how to split $9B in additional revenues, threatening the 2011 season.  $9B.  Really?

- Arizona sports team owners are attempting to lure fans to games, instead of them staying home or otherwise watching on television, and opine(that's another good word) the obstacles to be gameday traffic, losing teams, unruly fans, and poor service.  They won't even consider the outrageously high cost of tickets, parking and concessions!....NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman lashed out at the Goldwater Institute for their attempt to block the sale of the Phoenix Coyotes, claiming the $100M that the City of Glendale is fronting is illegal, while econmic experts aver that the deal is not in the best interests of the taxpayers, anyway.  Remember to follow the money.  When the Coyotes are sold, the NHL will receive $25M in operating expenses for this season, so it is the best interest of the NHL to get this sweetheart deal done!

- At least two NBA Eastern Division teams will make the playoffs with won-lost records well below break-even.  What a joke!
